By now it time to say North Caroline is a better team then Mississippi state. The Gamecocks’ 67-55 win in the national tittle game Sunday was South Carolina’s third and most convicting win over the Bulldogs this season. The women’s first basketball Championship is all the more impressive since the team lost senior center Alaina Coates to an ankle injury before the tournament started. A’Ja Wilson was the tournament’s most outstanding player. She led the Gamecocks fourth quarter surge that put the game away. She scored eight of her 23 points in the final quarter, and came in force with backboard and rebounds. She was not  the only one; Allisha Grey scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds and Kaela Davis scored 10 points
